Service

We know that you will be pleased with your new home, and that it will provide
you with trouble-free years of security and pleasure.
You can further enhance the performance of your new home, and your level of
satisfaction, by performing routine maintenance walk-through, or Homeowner's
Orientation Meeting. This meeting has two purposes.
First, we want you to become familiar with your new home. All of the mechanical
system and other features of your home will be discussed during this meeting.
Maintenance tips will also be reviewed. All warranty papers and instruction
manuals will be left in a kitchen drawer for your reference. Please remember to
fill out and mail in all warranty cards immediately.
Second, we need to document any punch out items remaining on your new home. It
is possible that, in working with you to coordinate a move in date, some minor
items may still be incomplete upon occupancy.
Please keep in mind that your home will require more maintenance and care than
most products since it is made up of so many component parts. A house is not
perfect. Some minor flaws and defects are to be expected and may require
adjustments and corrections.
This is the most important and exciting phase. You close on your home, take
ownership and your limited warranty period will commence. At this time we will
give you the keys to your home, you can move in and start enjoying many
wonderful years in your new custom built home.
At your walk-through and one year after closing, we will arrange a routine
service call. Please make a list of any items which need our attention.
Generally, we will make arrangements to pick up the list so that we can bring
the proper tools or schedule the right people to correct the items on your list.
Sometimes it is more efficient to group several service calls together so that
we minimize time and costs as much as possible. Weather and material shortages
can also delay service. Be assured that we will attend to your service needs as
soon as possible, and we will do our best to work around your busy schedule.
Some service items require our immediate attention. If you have problems
associated with the following, please call the office as soon as possible so we
can determine if we need to make to a special visit or call an individual to
take care of the problem.
- Electrical outage
- A non-operable exterior door
- Water leak
- Gas leak or outage
- Water outage
- Furnace outage
